A quirky relic from the electronic underground of late-80s Ibiza — a naïve-modernist print inspired by the island’s first synth labs, DIY music machines, and the hilarious paranoia that “everyone only loves you for your gear.”
Created during the era when DJs hauled homemade drum boxes, patched cables with tape, and guarded their machines like treasure, this design belonged to a tiny experimental capsule known among locals as “The Machine Room.”
Artists met after sunrise in a half-abandoned studio near Costa Brava, plugging wires into strange contraptions, drawing weird diagrams, and joking about how machines were becoming their only real lovers.
For decades the original sketches disappeared — buried in a dusty archive next to broken synthesizer parts and neon stencils.
Now, after more than 30 years, the print finally returns.
